CHICAGO – Best Places To Eat In Chicago

Our Best Places To Eat In Chicago

POSTED ON MARCH 18, 2019

While in Chicago, we visited some amazing restaurants that we would love to tell you about. We’re no foodies, per se, but we do love food and appreciate good eateries as we travel the world. It would be greedy of us to keep this list to ourselves as we think others should add this list to their list of places to eat in Chicago.

Lou Malnatis

This is definitely a must pizza place to visit in Chicago! They have the best deep dish pizza ever! We had the Malnati Chicago Classic made with lots of delicious and heavenly ingredients. The top layer of the pizza was a giant juicy and lean sausage. It was loaded with lots of cheese and sauce. The crust was a buttercrust. It did not take much to get us full. You will be really satisfied if you chose this place so make sure to add it to your list of pizza places to eat at.

Girl and the Goat

For an awesome Chicago dinner experience, check out Girl and the Goat. It’s a good idea to make reservations as this place is often packed. The dark lighting decor sets the mood for an unforgettable dinner experience.

Okay…on to the yummy part. For starters, we went with the Focaccia bread with olive oil and spread. The drinks were like no other drinks we’ve had anywhere else. We each had a Pineapple Right Side Up and a Morning Ritual. They were so good that we ordered a second round. When ordering off the menu, we suggest that you order at least three dishes as the meals come small.

We ordered the Crispy Beef Short Ribs, the Escargot Ravioli, and the Seared Yellowfin Tuna. All dishes were garnished well and kept us with a smile on our faces when the meals arrived. The amazing flavours and ingredients used were perfect enough to please our senses.

All in all, we had a great time and definitely left this place full with no room for dessert. We were a bit bummed but our bellies could not handle anything else. If we were foodies, we would definitely think of this restaurant as one of the top places to eat!

Portillos

If you are in love with trying new eateries like us and want to experience all the hype about this hotdog that all of Chicago raves about, look no further. At Portillos, you will not only be able to watch your hotdog get prepared, but the signage and materials hanging off the walls and ceilings will leave your eyes wandering with awe.

We ordered our first Chicago Style Hotdog here and loved every single bite of it. We also ordered the Char-grilled Maxwell Street Style. After devouring both of the hotdogs, we felt we needed more so we had the Double Bacon Burger, Milkshakes, and Cheese Fries. Should we have ordered the latter? Who knows. But we left that placed satisfied and glad we stopped here.

Giordano’s Pizza

On our last day in Chicago, we went to Giordano’s Pizza for some more deep dish pizza. We ended up ordering the Chicago Classic, which had mushrooms, sausage, onions, and green peppers. Our server warned us that our pizza would take at least 30 mins to be ready, so we ordered the garlic Parmesan fries, which also came with ranch. Delicious!

Our pizza finally arrived after the wait…the melted cheese, the sauce and the stuffed ingredients were perfectly cooked and our palates enjoyed every bite. We had two slices each and that was all it took to stuff ourselves.Be warned, a small pizza will fill two people and you may even have to take some to go!
